A brow pictorial to kick off 2019 #pictorial

New year new resolutions right? Well, I am not one for resolutions, instead I make a list of actions I would like to take or improve on I the year. This action list may sometimes look very simple and boring but trust me, simple and boring is more doable than huge and unattainable. That being said, one of my new years resolutions is to finally master the art of that perfect eyebrow that is quick and easy to achieve.

Towards the end of 2018 I had the pleasure of sitting in as a model for the one and only thebeauticianchic. If you don’t know who she is then you are truly living under a rock, she is one of the most focused busines omen I have ever come across. Her makeup transformations are amazing and her work truly speak for itself.

Following my snatch session with thebeautician chic, I spent some time practicing a few techniques and trying to perfect my brows. I am so happy to share my brow technique with you and I hope you learn something from it.

This is how I like to do MY BROWS, you don’t have to do it this way, hopefully you will pick up one or two tricks.

I have now started applying my foundation, concealer and powder before doing my brows. I find it helps me frame my face properly and also helps to guide my eyeshadow placement.

Step 1: Powder brows and dust off the excess. Brush brow hairs up, making sure to follow your natural hairline shape.

Step 2: Using the KatVonD signature brow pencil in Walnut, trace your natural hair shape (top and bottom) be careful not to over draw (especially at the top). This brow pencil also has a soft brow brush should you need one.

Fill in sparse areas in small upward strokes with “Graphite”, make sure you are in the lines. Feather fill in the front of the brow in upward motion with “Walnut”, the trick is to keep the front of the brow looking less drawn on.

Step 3: Use the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows to brush hairs in an upward motion, making sure to blend the brow pencil in. I love this product because the wand is very thing and doesn’t deposit a lot of product.

Step 4: Use a creamy concealer (not liquid) and the Morphe M705 brush ( I swear by this brush) to carve out the bottom arch of the brow. I avoid carving the top of the brow because it makes it look too harsh and fake.

Step 5: blend the concealer in to avoid any harsh lines. You can choose to set it with powder or your brow highlight colour.

You are Done!
